Computer Associates Launches Retail Promotion

Islandia, N.Y. - Computer Associates has kicked off a retail promotion that will give away a year's subscription of its latest Internet software suite.

The promotion is being run in conjunction with CompUSA, RadioShack, TigerDirect.com, P.C. Richard and Son, hhgregg and Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Consumers buying a desktop, notebook, netbook or other qualifying purchase will receive CA's Internet Security Suite 2010, a $49.99 value, at checkout.

The additional qualifying purchases are not necessarily computers. A company spokesman said the list includes smartphones, Windows 7, tech bench services, mobile service plans and other products that do not need Internet security software.
